The Gibson Team is happy to announce the virtual course: "Pathogen research through VEuPathDB resources".
This course will consist of two morning sessions on 11th – 12th October, 9:30 – 12:30 CEST over Zoom.
The aim of the course is to make people familiar with VEuPathDB resources (https://veupathdb.org/veupathdb/app/), a suite of dedicated databases to collect and provide information and tools to assist research on Eukaryotic pathogens, their vectors, and hosts. Pathogens in the suite include Plasmodium, Toxoplasma, Trypanosomes, Leishmania and more.
In this course you will learn how to:
- Explore their different databases
- Use their genome and protein browsers
- Retrieve orthologous sequences
- Create specialised search strategies and experimental data queries
If you have any doubt or question please get in touch with Jesús Alvarado Valverde or Renato Alves.
To attend, please register below by providing your identification and a few details about your research interest or focus.
You will receive an email confirming your registration. Course schedule and connection details will be sent at a later stage.
