BioinfoRome

Who we are

The Bioinformatics user community in Rome (BioinfoRome) is a group of Fellows that meets every two weeks to discuss practical topics in data analysis.

Although physically based in Rome, meetings are open to all EMBL members who wish to join. Everybody is welcome to propose topics. No restrictions on the level: anything from beginner to advanced is welcome.

Sometimes we have baked goods 😉

What we do

We start from use-cases and discuss analytical strategies. In other words we talk about how to solve data analysis problems, how to visualize results and how to use software packages. We cover high-troughtput data analysis, occasionally image processing and neuroscience, regardless of the programming language.

Find here a list of previous talks and topics with some links to material and notes.

When and where we meet

We meet both in person at EMBL Rome and on Zoom at a flexible times. All EMBL members are welcome to join. We keep the time schedule flexible to suit experimental protocols timelines.
