In this workshop you will learn the basics of CellProfiler.

CellProfiler is free, open-source software that lets you automatically identify, measure, and analyze cells and other objects in microscopy images at scale, it’s widely used in biology research, the original publication has been cited >6000 times. Learning CellProfiler it is a great skill because it turns tedious manual image analysis into fast, reproducible, code-free (or code-friendly) pipelines.

Participation requirements

There are no requirements for attending this course. It can be taken without any prior knowledge in image analysis.

Course IT infrastructure

We will run this course on a shared computational resource, namely the BARD virtual desktop for bio-image analysis. You need to bring your laptop to connect to this resource.
