Introduction to quantitative kinetic modelling with COPASI

Models can aid our understanding of the complex and interconnected pathways that integrate (cellular) signals to compute the appropriate response.

Course content

If quantitative system properties are of interest, models able to process quantitative
information and to make quantitative predictions are required. Quantitative kinetic models describe the time course of the amount of the modelled species by evaluating the mechanisms/reactions that underlie these temporal changes. You will learn the theoretical and hands on basics required to build, simulate and analyse models of biochemical reactions in homogeneous compartments. Note that spatial effects will not be covered.

Requirements:

  • Software installation
  • No prior experience required
