Build a simple webapp for your dataset and run it on EMBL cloud computing infrastructure

If you have tabular data that you would like to make available online, you can do that! Using a simple web application like streamlit to give your data a web interface, and package it in a “container” with your information, and then put that container on the cloud with Kubernetes. This is not a short tutorial, but the three modules can be used independently. We will not go in depth in each of the modules, we will show you just enough so YOU can make it work! and you understand what it can do, so you can choose if you want to go deeper into a module.

In this tutorial we will create a simple web app for a toy dataset in Python, using a CSV file as the dataset, then we will run this web app on EMBL infrastructure so it will be available online.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Python and command line. A working EMBL account with: Access to the EMBL git repo https://git.embl.de/ Access to the EMBL Kubernetes cluster https://kubeportal.embl.de/ Patience, and interest for hands on work
